This type 316 stainless steel straight D shackle with captive pin is commonly used for attaching stainless steel marine hardware and rigging. Captive pin shackles are self-locking and the pin is connected to the body at all times. When the straight D shackle is fully opened, the end of the pin will sit flush with the inside of the shackle.
