Any time your lines rub against something, whether its chocks, over the edge of the dock, around a piling or even rubbing against another line, they are at risk for fray. Our urethane coated lines are dipped in a multi-stage process. The benefit of dipping your lines in a urethane coating is that the coating becomes an integral part of the rope by adhering to the fibers. Our black urethane coating is available for all line diameters.
