Manufactured by Miami Cordage, polyester 12-strand plait provides high strength, low elongation and excellent abrasion resistance in a single braid construction. The torque free braided construction provides easy handling and prevents kinks and hockles. 12-Strand Plait splices easily, with either a “tuck” splice or a “buried” splice.
Features
- 25% stronger than 3 or 8-Strand polyester
- Higher strength-to-weight ratios, low stretch and will not rotate under load
- Stays supple over time in both marine and industrial environments
- White and black stocked colors
- 8 colors available in solid color or custom designs, refer to our Custom Rope page

Compliance to the above specifications is based upon testing according to the Cordage Institute Standard Testing Methods for Fiber Rope and/or ASTM D-4268 Standard Methods of Testing Fiber Ropes.
Weights: Are average and may vary +/- 5%.
Tensile strengths: Are approximate average for new, unused ropes. To estimate the minimum tensile strength of a new rope, reduce the approximate average by 15% (Cordage Institute defines minimum tensile strength as two standard deviations below the average tensile strength of the rope).
