Gin blocks, also known as a roofers’ block, are ideal for light duty hoisting with manila fiber rope or 3-strand twisted rope. Used frequently by roofers’ and contractors for hoisting roofing materials and tar on to the top of buildings. The gin block is equipped with a steel shell, gray iron wheel and a heavy drop forged steel swivel latch hook with pressure grease fittings.
